Originating in 1984, this soulful funk-rock outfit built their rep as a powerful live act touring the Southeast in the early 90's. Part of the Miller Genuine Draft Band Network, they were signed briefly to Epic in 1989. Their only CD release, the award-winning Uppression on their own Neverglades label, is still in print. Down to annual appearances since 1992, bandleader/songwriter Bonefish Johnny and lead singer Down Pat have long threatened a new studio album by the band while steadily releasing live recordings of Groove Thangs in their hey day.
