For fans only: vintage live performances recorded during 1991-92. Hear Groove Thangs on stage at their peak - loud, proud and drawing a crowd!
Volume Two features slamming live versions of original songs from the band's Uppression CD like "Ape Heart," "Whadayamean?" and "Childhood Games" (featuring Peter Lavezzoli of Crazy Fingers on drums), plus live staples "Body Body" and "Pagan Love Dance" with Bonefish Johnny's rhyming on "Midst Of The Mayhem". Here also is a crunchy hyper take on "Skunk Blood Funky" that differs greatly from the relaxed version released a decade later by Shack Daddys. Covers include Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds" done as a soul ballad and the ever-funky "Yes We Can" (using the Pointer Sisters' lyrics). Requisite JB cut for this set is opener "Super Bad".
This is a custom CD-R lovingly created and autographed by the band's founder Bonefish Johnny. That's front man Down Pat in action on the cover!
